Oh the nook.... what do I say about this veritable thorn in my side? Our breakfast Nook started out drab and creepy with this awful excuse for a built-in shelf in the corner, a million who-knows-where light switches & outlets, and of course, painted the same smokers beige as the rest of the house. I have already posted the new paint color and window treatments that were put in. We patched all but two outlets (that's plenty for a 9x11 room). 
This weekend we decided to undertake the project of re-doing our own built-in sofa in this area. This is what we had before to what we have now. I think the difference is amazing. It was mostly Ryan who built the framework, the pillows were purchased from Marshalls Homestore and the down-filled cushions and slipcovers were made by yours truly :) I have them set up in the dining room in this photo, oh yeah, we put hardwood floors in the dining room also:) but tonight is the final coat and clean up, and tomorrow is the set up.
